Our History

As a company, Talkwire has rapidly expanded since being established in 2001. Each step in its development has been driven by our desire to provide our customers with either better support or additional, complimentary services. Below you can read a short description of some of the key mile stones in Talkwire's history:

September 2021

Talkwire are celebrating 20 years in business!

January 2021

Talkwire welcomed a new member to the sales team to help support the NHS. Welcome aboard Jamie!

December 2019

December saw the launch of our brand new CRM system, implemented to keep up with our increasing customer base and expanding sales & operational teams.

November 2019

July 2019

Our team had a fantastic time at the Great British Expo event, hosted at the Swindon Steam Museum in July. We met a lot of interesting people and got to learn about a variety of local businesses from different industries!

July 2018

We exhibit at the South West Expo in Swindon - showcasing our leading Audio Visual product, Barco ClickShare, demonstrating how the product works and expanding an interest in our products and services.

June 2018

We appoint a New Sales Account Manager to support and assist with our expanding client base

May 2018

Talkwire employees complete a 10 mile or 26.2 mile 'Walk of Life' challenge to raise money towards the RUH Forever Friends Appeal and their Cancer Care Campaign,RNHRD and Therapies Centre at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. Talkwire raised an incredible £920.00.

April 2018

Talkwire Ltd are awarded 'Best for IT and Telecommunications in Wiltshire' for the 2018 UK Enterprise Awards hosted by SME-News! The official list of winners along with the winners directory magazine will be released in early June so keep an eye out!!

Feb 2018

We employee two new Engineers due to expanding our client base and needing more resources

We appoint Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator to assist the sales team and marketing strategy for the Talkwire brand.

July 2017

We appoint New Business Manager for Field Sales and New Business.

May 2017

Launch of our new CRM and Service Desk Platform.

January 2017

We appoint an Operations Manager to manage specialist engineers.

July 2016

Our HSO completes IOSH certificate

May 2016

Talkwire gain Brandrex Approved Partner status for both Copper and Fibre solutions.

April 2016

Renewal of Excel Registered Installer status.

March 2016

We deploy VaaS-t powered by Polycom as our in-house Audio Visual and Video Conferencing bridging solution.

January 2016

We invest in Office 365 System to manage customers and workload more effectively.

December 2015

Our PM passes the Prince 2 Project Management examination and practitioner course.

October 2015

Site Supervisors attained the SSSTC certificate (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme).

September 2015

Our Authorized Reseller status is renewed with Polycom.

August 2015

Annual ISO inspection complete by external auditor.

June 2015

Additional storage capacity acquired to assist with the increased maintenance components.

May 2015

Operations team expand vehicle fleet.

Appointed Technical Systems Specialist to meet the demand of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing Solutions.

December 2013

Launched new Talkwire website.

September 2013

Complete high-level training for both sales and engineering to reach 'Enterprise Solutions' specialisation within the Siemens Go Forward Partnership.

August 2013

Talkwire design and offer new Company Brochure.

July 2013

Internal training to allow our engineers and sales team to qualify as official Siemens Go Forward Advance Partners.

June 2013

Talkwire build on social presence by launching Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus online profiles.

January 2013

The Electrical department achieve NICEIC status.

September 2012

Opened New Electrical and Data Cabling Division in response to high customer demand.

February 2012

Joined RBS Mentor Support and Advice Service for Health & Safety to protect and ensure our policies and procedures are always up to date.

April 2011

Joined RBS Mentor Support and Advice Service for Employment Law. This provides us with a complete HR service, ensuring we meet the needs of both the company and employees.

January 2011

Moved into a new, purpose built office in Kingsbury Square, Melksham. This office had a larger working space with additional storage, training, meeting and conference facilities.

November 2009

Our drive for Health and Safety excellence is acknowledged by Safe Contractor through the review and audit of our policy, procedures and documentation.

July 2009

Purchased new premises to rebuild with more professional facilities for training, storage and general working space.

July 2006

Quality Assurance policy became ISO 9001:2000 accredited for Talkwire.

January 2006

Office moved to larger premises in Melksham to accommodate an expanding workforce.

October 2005

Health & Safety policy implemented to meet customer and industry demands to adhere to constantly changing legislation.

January 2004

New office opens in Bradford-on-Avon due to increase in staff.

September 2001

Talkwire Limited is officially registered
